Hagstrom Select SL-2 (Top Left)
I wanted to start playing electric again and was looking for an inexpensive guitar that sounded good and was fun to play. The Hagstrom fit the bill nicely. It has nice action and has a surprisingly good sound to it.
Gibson SG (Top right)
I had a guitar instructor when I was around 19 that had an SG and could really make the thing talk. From that point on I knew that one day I had to have one. These guitars are actually much more money than one would think. I seem to remember that they were an economical guitar at one point in time. Oh well, now you have Japanese, and Mexican make guitars so anything made in the US is much more expensive. I must say though that this guitar was worth the money.
Tacoma Chief (Bottom left)
I bought this guitar in a whim at McCabes when my brother and I were attending a slide guitar class taught by Fred Sokolov. I wanted something that had nice low action and was easy to play. This guitar is perfect for that. I don't think this model is even being made anymore and that is too bad.
Cordoba 45FCE (Bottom right)
I had been playing a Sanchis Carpio classical guitar for almost 20 years and I decided it was time to get a new classical. I love this guitar and play it more than any of the others. It has nice action and a great sound. While classical purists may argue against the cut-away and the pickup I like being able to easily reach about the 12th fret. It is also nice for recording.
